Rob Deer

Rob Deer

Had Deer been allowed to play every day in his prime, he would have probably struck out more than 200 times in a single season. He was an all-or-nothing hitter: hitting a ahomer every 16 times to the plate, but also striking out once every 2.75 at-bats. He led the league in strikeouts four times, and in 1991 with Detroit he batted a measly .179 while playing 134 games and hitting 25 home runs. Highest Percentage of Hits were Home Runs, All-Time Mark McGwire ... 35.9 Russell Branyan ... 28.4 Dave Kingman ... 28.1 Adam Dunn ... 27.8 Harmon Killebrew ... 27.5 Ryan Howard ... 27.4 Ron Kittle ... 27.2 Rob Deer ... 27.0 Mark Reynolds ... 26.4 Jim Thome ... 26.4 (Minimum 2,000 plate appearances)
