Mike Donlin

Mike DonlinHe was called “Turkey Mike” because of his odd way of running. But despite his funny trot, he was an excellent hitter, one of the best in the early years of teh 20th century. He had his best season in 1905 when he led the National League with 124 runs scored and banged out 216 hits, hitting .356 to help the Giants to the pennant and a World Series title.
