Bullet Joe Bush
Probably invented the forkball, but was famous for his fastball, which was surpassed in the American League only by Walter Johnson and possibly Smoky Joe Wood. Bush pitched on three pennant-winning teams in the American League, going from dynasty to dynasty to dynasty: first with the Philadelphia A’s; then the Boston Red Sox; and finally the New York Yankees. He won 26 games in 1922, and 196 in a 17-year career in the big leagues.
