ANAHEIM ANGELS ALL-TIME TEAM

A 28-player roster for the Los Angeles Angels, California Angels, and Anaheim Angels.
(Might be easier to think of them as the Halos)

The Angels were born out of the determination and passion of Gene Autry, who owned them when they became an expansion franchise in 1961. Autry so loved his team that the #26 was retired in his honor as the “26th man.”

For many years it seemed the franchise was cursed, first with the tragic deaths of a few players, and later with heart-wrenching losses that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Angels’ All-Time Team has a surprisingly good pitching rotation for such a young franchise, boasting hard-tossing strikeout artists. The offense is built on the once-in-a-generation talent of Mike Trout, unquestionably the greatest Angel of them all.
