Darrel Chaney

Darrel ChaneyChaney made a career out of being a sure-handed utility middle infielder in the 1970s, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds, where he was part of three pennant-winning teams, including the 1975 World Series champions.

He had one season in which he was a starter, with Atlanta in 1976 at shortstop in 1976. That season the switch-hitter batted .252 with 20 doubles and 50 RBIs but he was unsteady in the field: he made 37 errors at short and the following season he was back as a utility infielder.
