Ben McDonald

Ben McDonaldA former #1 overall pick in the amateur draft, McDonald developed a forkball at the big league level with the Baltimore Orioles in 1991-92 and the pitch helped him finally have success in the majors. In 1992 he won 13 games for the O’s and he won 13-14 in each of the next three seasons.

But a shoulder injury curtailed the tall righthander and he retired after the 1997 season having won 78 games in eight seasons.
