Well, not everyone loved Joe DiMaggio. I wonder what the folks in Boston thought? For pretty much 15 years, DiMaggio and the Yankees dominated the American League. When Joe was in the starting lineup, the Yanks won the pennant 10 of 13 seasons. The Yankees earned nine world championships with DiMaggio in center field.
This style of cartoon often appeared in the Sporting News in the glory years of the publication.
